Another lockdown -
December 15th 2021, 12:29 PM
Due to rising cases in the UK, there's been talk of another lockdown. I really hope there isn't. The last one lasted 5 months and so many people were worse for it. A lot of people I've spoken to are sick of lockdowns. They're happy to wear masks, take the vaccination/boosters, but no more lockdowns. A lot of shops in my area have closed because of financial difficulties. I know a lot of people have died due to the virus, but I'm just getting to the end of my rope with it. At least keep gyms open as an outlet for people to go.

Hey Sarah,
I've heard about the difficult situation in the UK from a couple of my British friends. I'm very sorry to hear the situation's severe despite people getting vaccinated. I'm sure the government(s) will do everything to avoid any more lockdowns. I know how important the gym is to you, and I really hope it remains open! I've seen your post in the Christmas thread. You seem to enjoy Christmas season - maybe you can focus on the preparations to avoid thinking about covid and possible restrictions?
All the best to you,
xx S

I know how you feel. I wish it would all just go away now if I'm honest. I hope more people will get the booster jab and that it will help to lower the cases again.

I really hope the number of cases goes down over there (and here for that matter!) :/

I have tried doing that, but then if there's a lockdown that includes closure of gyms, I have no income. I don't know if they'd restart the furlough scheme again.
Tomorrow my mum and I are going for more Christmas food shopping and it's ok for a while, but then I'm constantly reminded that we may go into yet another lockdown and it just feels exhausting.

Hello Sarah,
I am so sorry about this and hope that you will be okay soon. Try not to listen to the news a lot because this is going to upset you more. I know it can be hard to not be around it, you can read some or watch a little bit. When you are having a hard time with this try to find something to help you get your mind off of this for a while, going for a walk around your house or reading a book for a while or drawing or painting or writing or calling a friend or baking cookies or finding something else that you enjoy doing and hopefully this will help pick you up. I hope everything calms down soon for you and that you will be okay soon. Sending you lots of to help you to be okay.
