One Year In -
September 24th 2011, 12:39 PM
Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my exciting news form yesterday. As of yesterday (23 September), I have been in recovery for EDNOS for one year. I'm just super excited that I actually made it this far and am looking forward to how much more I have to go. Just wanted to share my excitement.

Congratulations! Keep eating, alright? It'll be worth it.
And I also have an achievement. I reached out and yesterday saw a professional about my eating disorder for the first time. I'm starting treatment soon. ;w;

Orange juice for breakfast. I usually never drink juice. It's hard, but I've drank some of it.

Skype support? -
December 11th 2011, 12:17 AM
Is there anyone who will be willing to begin a skype support thing with me? I'm looking to find a few members to have a support system with. I'm not able to find any support groups around me for my ED, and I don't have the money to go to any support gorups/counseling.
She's an artist of sorts,
With her brushes and paints.
But she doesn't use canvas,
It's opinion she taints.
Around certain "friends"
She paints on a grin,
So she can be popular,
So she can fit in.
With other friends,
She's loud and obscene
It's the aim of the game,
To be rowdy and mean.
Close to her family,
She's quiet and shy.
They hardly take notice
If she is nearby.
When she's with the guys,
She's a tease and a flirt.
She gives and she gives,
Ignoring the hurt.

Hey there,
My Skype is traci.ayub I'm not on a whole lot, so if you ever need some guidance, give me a PM, and I can log on if you need! You're also always welcome in this forum for not live, but at least some support from messages. The chat in S&A is also a great place to receive some live support. I'm sorry you do not have one nearby, maybe you can start a club at your school, just a support club for people of all kinds of problems? I've heard of schools doing that as well.
I'm moving this thread to Support and Achievements. If anybody has an issue with this, please send me a PM.

A Positive Step. :D -
January 2nd 2012, 07:59 PM
This year, I'm deciding to lose weight the healthy way. I'm deciding to lose weight, not to feel better about myself, but to feel better. No unhealthy dieting, no starving, no purging. Just healthy eating and exercise.
I know there was really no point to posting this. I'm just proud of myself for making the decision to do things the right way.

I have gone one week without trying to starve myself of food. I still get those self-conceous moments but they are coming less and less.

It's been almost two months guys! But I thought I would let all of you know that I was gone at a rehab center for eating disorders. I just got out today and am doing much better! Still a little anxious when it comes to food, although I'mgetting stronger each day! I love you all! Happy valentines day!
