Went to the pool in a BIKINI!!! Despite the cuts and scars on my back. despite the fat. Despite the fact that my thighs touch. I did it.
I wanna fly. So I do gymnastics instead.
I'll just keep holding on to what i believe and oh I believe in you. Give me the strength for the fight and the heart to believe cause I've got to believe in you. I feel so alive.

(hopefully this isn't triggering) I ate breakfast! I've been restricting til nighttime when generally a binge comes along, but today I ate first thing when I awoke. Fruit too, which has been scaring me.

I'm in control, not the ED. I want to eat something now, please, and you're not going to fucking stop me.
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!
Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless.
RIP Granddad Terry. I'll miss you.

Got back from the first part of my holiday, and I ate normally and healthily the whole time! I had multiple opportunities to starve, purge and binge since I was with my friend's parents, but I didn't! I ate normally, I jumped into rivers, I ate chocolate when I wanted chocolate and I LIVED! Fuck you ED, I'm getting my life back. <3

A Positive Thread :) -
September 6th 2012, 02:25 PM
Whilst alot of people are posting....struggling with their ED's. I thought i'd lighten the mood a little. I've been in an impatient unit for several months now diagnosed with servere anorexia. Just a week ago i had the feeding tube taken out...despite losing alot of friends...one friend has stuck by me the whole way and encouraged me to get better. She has the same problem as me and is also in impatient with me atm. We are recovering together. Although i am far from my target weight atm. Things are looking up and i am a little happier...it hasnt been easy...far from it. I am learning to ignore the ED voice inside my head and work out what I really want.

I just wanted to say good on you for wanting to get better and acting on that want! Recovery is a hard thing to do and it requires bravery and courage every step of the way. The path may not be easy, but you're still going and for that reason you're a true inspiration.
I hope you continue to get better and that your spirits remain high
Thank you for being so brave!

Hey, I'm really glad to hear that you're doing better. It's even cooler that you get to do this with a friend! Recovery is always that much easier when you have someone to support you who gets it as well. I went ahead and merged your thread to this one, as this is a recovery thread! Keep up the great work. If you ever need someone to talk to, let me know <3
