Quick question about the forum

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm still working my way around. Please move this to the correct section if needed.

Some things on the site don't work for me (Like the "random blog post" button for example) and I assume this is due to not having a verified email, however, on signing up I never got any kind of verification email - is there any way to re-send this verification, or is it because I'm a new user and need to wait a bit before certain actions become available?

I could be wrong, but I don't think there's ever been a verification email... or there hasn't been one in years. Some time ago, the email system got a wee messed up and hasn't worked ever since.

I've never used "random blog entry" so I am not sure how that works.
