I'm happy today because...
 

I believe that every day contains at least one happy event, a moment in time that we are thankful for.
Even if the day seems to go completely wrong, there is always something to cherish.
I know pain, I know shitty days. I'm bipolar. It is a rare day that I go without crashing from anger or sadness over something that happens in my life.
But I think we all need to remember that there's something worth smiling over, whether it be a sunny day or a marriage proposal.
So I wanted to start this so that even on the bad days, everyone can remember there's a little thing to smile about. :)

I'm happy today because my mom bought quesadilla stuff and I got to eat quesadillas as an after school snack.

Let's keep this going.

Today I was in a peer support group dedicated to the improvement of my perspective about my life.
I have been attending this group for four weeks and it has helped me to feel validated towards my goals
and many of the choices i have been making to align myself emotionally with those goals.

I'm happy today because my friend's dog is staying over at our house, since her family's going to New York for the next week or so. He's adorable!

I am happy because I spent last night hanging out and drinking with my friends from high school. I remembered what it was like to let go and have fun.

I'm also happy because I got to hold my friend's eight month old baby girl. She's adorable and instantly put a smile on my face. Spending time with my friend, her baby girl and her finacee (as well as the rest of my friends), I realized that I haven't totally lost touch with my friends as much as I thought I had.

Ps: I LOVE this thread idea =) Its all about the little things that make us happy.

I'm happy today because it's the end of a chaotic year and tomorrow signifies a new beginning.

-I got a message from one of the people in my dorm asking if I'd like a ride back with them. I wasn't expecting it and it made me feel included. =)

-I'm looking forward to starting the New Year and new semester of University. I'm ready for a fresh start.
