Post Coaching is actually helping - October 18th 2021, 09:26 PM

Today I had my second session of coaching. It is actually working?! All these silly things I thought wouldn't work actually kind of helped once they'd been explained to me. Weird and awesome!

Only downside is I kind of forgot the main thing I was meant to work on this week, but that's ok, my mum can just email the coach lady and ask. :P I have lots of cool worksheets and have written down stuff to do, and while I do feel like there is a lot, she made it very clear that I don't have to complete it all or within a certain timeframe. She's very understanding of my thoughts and my autism which is very surprising. But she also said that I'm very intelligent and she even said she got some ideas and advice from me! How wild is that?

Overall, I'm equal parts nervous and excited, but my hope is growing for the first time in a long long time. I'm baffled that it's actually working.

I'm glad that it's working for you! Coaching can be so rewarding and extremely empowering. It sounds like your coach is doing just that with you.

The fact she got some of her ideas from you shows just how much of an asset you are, too. Coaching is very two-way. While she's helping you, she's continually learning and improving herself.
