My university supervisor came out!

Some time back my university supervisor came out as transgender. I've been following her story for quite some time now but this week she finally got her passport sorted so I thought I'd message her with my congratulations.

Suddenly we spent hours last night, even today, talking about her transitioning, feminine products, all her self-discovery and expression. Even her personal life.

It's been really enlightening and amazing. I actually feel pretty good about taking the time to message her, because it's also helped me understand those who are transgender even more.

It's also so great that you have the opportunity to learn and understand more in an open minded sort of way. I'm glad you feel good having done that!
