Tattoos and Piercings This forum is to ask questions and discuss tattoos, piercings and other aesthetic body modifications.
Hey guys,
So on April 27th I am getting my first tattoo, its " Veni, vidi, vici" which means I came, I saw, I conquered. Its a really important saying to me and has alot of meaning behind, so im excited for it, the only thing is, I'm not exactly sure where I want to get it. I have 3 spots narrowed down for it, collerbone, top of my foot or forearm and I've heard pros and cons for every spot. So im still at a standstill to where I should get it, I like the collerbone or foot the most though...
So for those with tattoos, or know alot about them, what do you think would be the best spot to get it? and why? Any input would be great
Thanks guys

"You're never gonna spread your disease,So take your hands off of me"
I think it would be really great on the top of your foot. This is easy to hide or show off, whereas when it's on your collarbone some tops might show it off. Also on your collarbone it will be extremely painful, but then again, it will be on top of your foot.
I bet your really excited. You have to post a picture of it!
I would say collarbone over foot for your first tattoo. The foot is one of the most painful places to get a tattoo and I don't think it would be a good place to start.
In any situation where you wuld need your collarbone tattoo covered your collarbone would probably be covered anyways (work). A tattoo on your foot would be smaller, and when you have lettering that's smaller you can't have very many different fonts and the ink will bleed over time making it look bad.
I think a good spot for lettering is your ribs or arm but that's just me.
Your collarbone shows with every shirt that's not a high neck tshirt. Sure, tattoos on the top of your foot hurt, but it's not as bad as everyone says it is. Your ribs are "one of the worst places" to get a tattoo, too, and I got a 4 hour one done on my ribs. It's really not as bad as you think.
