Thanks everyone.

To those of you who guessed, it IS based off of Jerry Spinelli's Stargirl. I really loved this book from the first time I read it. The lesson I've taken away, and that I have appreciated more as I've grown in the last few years, is that life is beautiful, and unique. No one dances to the same drum. This is a remember for me to always remember to be who I really am, no matter what others may think, and to always, always reach as high as I can in life.
