Rainbow Tattoo? -
January 6th 2012, 05:59 AM
I want to get music notes behind my ear, like this:
But I have synesthesia, so basically I see colors to music and sound and whatnot. So, I thought it'd be cool to get the music notes in rainbow
But I know basically shit when it comes to tattoos, I only have one on my hip. Is it even possible to get rainbow in such a small tattoo? I was thinking multiple colors per each note. Like, the first one, red orange and yellow, second one green and blue, then pink and purple, and such. I assume it would also cost more because of the color, my hip cost $60. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?
Take me seriously.
I dare you.

I believe it is possible, but the chance of the colors bleeding into one another and fading over time is definitely way higher seeing as it's in such a small space.

Its not very likely actually. Lots of tattoos have small bits of color and hardly ever will you see it bleed into each other so as long as your artist knows what they are doing.
I have that same tattoo, and its a breeze to get. So if you want it then definitely go for it
Another thing is if you get it rainbow, it will take longer as well because after each color they will have to completely clean off the area of color. My artist said red is tricky because it tends to get everywhere
And here you are living, despite it all.

Love the tat and adding your own little difference to it will be nice. I think that will be a very pretty tattoo... but surely thats gotta hurt behide your ear - and dont take this wrong, but is it worth getting it done there where no one can see ? x

Thanks for the advice, I think I might just get the primary colors instead of rainbow. I definitely don't want the colors bleeding together or anything.
And Charlie, I actually don't want my tattoos to be seen because I plan on getting a job in the health field one day, so I can't have visible tattoos.

I have a rainbow peace sign on my hip, and it's not very small. I've had it for about 3 years, and the colors haven't bled together nor has my tattoo faded in any way. I think you'd be fine to get the rainbow colors. Ask the tattoo artist if they think there might be a chance of the colors bleeding together, but it's not very likely.

Oh fair reason At least when you older too you can cover them up. Someone being responsibly about tattoos and not getting one?them as a status thing or because they can x

It doesn't hurt getting it behind your ear because it isn't a sensitive spot. The worst part is the tattoo gun buzzing right beside your ear.
Tattoos should be important to you, you shouldn't get getting them just so people can see them. And if you put your hair up, people can see tattoos behind your ear.
And here you are living, despite it all.
