Just got my white ink tattoo. :3 -

I found the design on deviantart and after getting the artist's permission, got them done today. Only one studio I called in all of Pittsburgh told me they'd give the white a shot. He's an awesome artist, glad he was open to the idea.
The right is the angel and the left, the devil. Both babies. Sleeping.
I just got them done 5 hours ago and they look awesome right now - I was hoping the stencil would come off more, since he said it'd come off easily and the stencil messing up the white was a concern of mine - although he promised that won't happen. I guess I'll wait and see.
Other concerns of mine were my scars, as I self harmed for years, but so far, it's holding up. I'm a little sad about the scar on the right (the angel), but I guess I'll get over it. I have small wrists; they had to go somewhere.
If the white doesn't hold up, he told me he'd do it in a light blue. I'm really holding on to the hope that the white stays good though. I mean, it looks beautiful right now in the parts where the stencil is gone.
And a woman at the parlor told me I was a champ for being afraid of needles and getting two at once.
But, really, it wasn't bad. I watched Dawn For The Dead for 30 minutes. :P
I just wanted to post them up because 1. I'm excited about them and 2. I wanted you guys to see them.
I'll post up more as they're healing, I think. Let you know how they're working out for me. ^^

Those are cute, I'm getting a wrist tattoo in the near future but only one on my left wrist and it'll be in black ink but I like yours .

Your artist was right. The stencil will come off, not always as easily as he said, but it won't affect the white at all. So don't worry about it! Oh and looks good!

This was them about 3-4 days later:
And these are them today:
It's still in the flaking stage of healing, but it's clear they're going to need a second round of ink. On the devil, it's almost like the wings aren't even there because of the lack of color, while some areas are really white (he went over some lines twice, but some only once, to my disapppointment, and I think that caused this, clearly).
My camera phone does nothing to them though. There's whiter parts than others, but they still look good. Maybe one day when I'm not lazy, I'll pull out my DSLR for some actual decent pictures.
I have to wait until they heal more before fixing the ink issue. But, so far, so good.

It usually takes about 3 weeks for it to heal fully and goes through about 2 different stages of peeling.
Your artist should have told you about white ink tattoos. They need multiple sessions because a lot of people have issues with white ink. Sometimes it doesn't show up, sometimes it can turn peach/tan ish with the skin (this is often what mine does on my arms), etc. It's why we don't like doing all white ink tattoos.
It's not because he went over some twice and some once. That's not the issue at all. It's just white ink takes to the skin differently than other colors. Same with red ink.
