Idea for my leg tattoo(s)... - March 10th 2011, 05:34 AM

I really want to get a quote on my right leg. But I'm having trouble picking out the right one, mostly because there are a lot that I like, but I want to make sure I'm positive because it's there forever.

I'm mostly having trouble with just picking a certain one, so I was thinking, would it look weird if I choose a few quotes and just scattered them (in an organised..ish way) on my right leg?

And I don't want to get them on my arms, because I don't want to have to cover them later in life, at my job and such.

I can't decide if it'd look weird or not....I suppose I'm just thinking "out loud" really...

Hmm, I am not a fan of sentences on bodies, specially on legs or arms. It look better on like the rib cage. I guess size matters, lol. If I were you, I would look for a small saying, if you are wanting it on your leg.

I think it would look good as long as it were organized. (your tattoo artist can help you with that.) What quotes have you been thinking of?

Which quotes?

Uhm:
Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
Love all. Trust a few. Do wrong to none.
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.
When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.
It may haunt you, but it will stop soon, and you'll wake up one day and you will be fine.
Remember to smile.
Don't be afraid of what's inside.

Obviously these all won't work, not enough room/length and such. And I don't even know if the long ones will work cause I don't really want them wrapping around my leg.... But they are the ones I'm thinking of. I just don't know which one(s) I want on my body forever...

But I'm not so sure of getting more than one now... cause I only have one tattoo on my left leg, and I feel like it'll be uneven/look odd if I have all these quotes on one leg and only my one tattoo on my left leg...but that might just be my OCD kicking in...

Is there a quote that your mother or father, or family/friend always says? My sister has a tattoo of "Everyone has business. Keep your business, away from business.". It was what our grandfather would always say, whenever we would have family discussions, and we would talk about personal stuff. We would always laugh. But when he died, my sister decided to tattoo that, along with her husbands, and her two children s name, on her back. So that's just an idea. Either way, whatever quote you choose, you are stuck with it.

I really like this quote, it would be something worth having tattooed on you.
Of course it is entirely up to you.

I'm about ninety percent certain I'm going to get the Les Mis quote, I'm just extremely unsure of the placement because it's a longer quote...Cause I want to get it on my leg, but I don't really want to have it wrap around my leg much at all... :/

Also, no, no one in my family really has a saying they say all the time.

So I've been thinking of having a picture drawn for me. Something to go with the quote "Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise." I sort of want it to go down the outside of my right leg, and have a dark, rainy cloud on one side/or the top (depending on how the drawing/the room on my leg works) and the on the side/bottom to be a shining sun.

How do you think that would look?
