Less painful/good place to get a tattoo at - August 4th 2010, 10:29 PM

Hey guys~

I wanted to think of getting a tattoo someday. What's the best place to get one for someone who hasn't gotten one? The less painful areas on the body?

I joked with some about maybe a bit serious by saying that I'd get one on my chest area.

I got a tattoo on my hip. It didn't hurt at all. I was laughing the whole time because it tickled and the guy got really annoyed and told me to lie still.
I really like where I got my tattoo because I can cover it up when I want to, but I can show it off at the same time when I wear a bathing suit or tie my shirt up in the back. I think it's a great place for girls to get tattoos.

I have one on my shoulder... it was tolerable

If you want a less painful tattoo, don't go with the lower back!! Ouch!

Least painful area? I'd imagine it would be your tush. The more fat, the less likely to feel it. I would recommend against getting one on the chest in case you ever get pregnant, then it may get distorted if your breasts grow a cup size.

Least painful for me would be the shoulder blades or any area that has more fat on it. (it's also what my tat artist/friend recommends for a first tattoo since it's not that painful) The one on my thigh didn't hurt either. Ribs suck. Near your collar bones suck too. Arm isn't bad either.

Chest would be pretty painful. Especially for a first tattoo, and not knowing what the sensation is. But if it's something you really want, you'll be willing to endure it (I know I was for my ribs!).

I just got my first and last tattoo today I got it done on my wrist and I asked the girl who was doing it if it was one of the most painful ones and she said yes...So if you don't have high pain tolerance don't get it ont your wrist

I got mine on my hip. Wasn't bad when I was getting it done, but it hurt like HELL when it was healing.
