Hawaii Tattoo!!! -

Today I got my newest piece done on my leg. It's a tattoo of Hawaii, where I grew up  . I love the place with all my heart and some day I'll go back.

Actually, it's pretty common for Hawaiians to get the island they're born and raised on or even the entire island chain tattooed on them . It's actually a kind of way to identify "family" (other Hawaiians) here on the Mainland . It's a big scary place out there and it's nice to have a taste of home lol.

Wow I like that idea, and I wasn't informed this was more or less the norm/tradition for Hawaiian born people. I think the tattoo is wonderful and I like the placement because it's different and it looks good, very nice piece of art!

Thanks, guys . This is number 3. I have one more that I'm going ot get done this summer. It's going to be on my shoulder so I have to do it at a time while I'm not working so much. Throwing boxes and reaching up on shelves is soooo hard with a shoulder piece >_<
