Tattoos and Piercings This forum is to ask questions and discuss tattoos, piercings and other aesthetic body modifications.
I'm 16 now (turning 17 soon) and I want to get a tattoo when I turn 18 (why I'm less afraid of getting a tattoo than I am of piercings I have no idea). I have a general idea of what I want, but Tony (the guy who does my mom's tattoos) wants to have a drawing of it to go off.
I can't draw to save my life.
Would anyone be willing to draw me a tattoo? It's really simple. I've attached a picture that I generated on photoshop. I want the cross to look a little more elegant though, but still stay simple. I was also thinking it saying "forever I am changed" instead of just "forever changed" because it's a song lyric (and does not reflect my TH name whatsoever).
So if anyone would like to, that's splendiferous. And yes, that's a word.
Oh and the tattoo is going to go on my left wrist.
i'm afraid my artistic skills are non-existant.. but you should contact topov [Rach] - she designed a tattoo for someone else on another thread which was incredible! :]
..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..
Well the cross represents Jesus and there is a song called happy day by fee and the chorus says oh happy day, happy day you've washed my sin away. Oh happy day happy day I'll never be the same forever I am changed. It's one of my favourite church songs and I have changed in the sense that because of Jesus, I have a new and more positive outlook on my life. I feel stronger and Jesus is the reason that I have been doing well with my self harm recovery (hence the placement on my wrist)
If your tattoo guy is any good he will have a range of fonts he can do your wording in, so that shouldn't be a problem.
To be honest, he should also be okay at designing it too. That's what all of the artists I've met do.
Deviantart is wonderful for pictures. What I do is very an array of pictures off deviantart, take them to my tattoo guy, point out which bits I like about which pictures and he will then design me something original.
Hope this helps a lil.

Wow Rach that's pretty awesome!! You're a great artist. I can't draw like that... I also really like the font. I think it fits. The only thing is that I was thinking more of a traditional looking cross. But like wow...*can't even find words to describe how awesomet that looks*
I think the first drawing was gorgeous and the cross did look elegant and old-fashioned enough, ever more so than the first one. Either way Rach did a great job and both will look nice. :3
