Tattoo placing... - September 24th 2009, 03:13 PM

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo early next year haha but I heard this girl who wanted one on her belly was told if she wanted children it wouldn't be a good idea cause it would stretch...

Sooo... Is this the same if I have one on my upper arm, I'll be working on building those for years to come, would it be wise not too??

I've had a look on Wikipedia and all it mentions is risks like infection and allergic reaction, but I'm not sure about the stretching thing. It sounds logical though, so I would suggest getting your tattoo when you've stopped growing. That might be now or it might be when you're 25 - it varies for different people. I recommend you work on your arm muscles first and then get the tattoo; that way you won't risk stretching and ruining the design.

Mine is more on my stomach.
I don't care. If I have kids, which I want to, I'll get it fixed.

Anywhere you get it is going to stretch a bit. Unless you plan on being a body builder, you should be okay. There's really no perfect place.
