Recently I was thinking about a tattoo -

I was thinking about when i'm older getting a tatto to remind me of the struggles I have been through with self-harm. The only problem is i don't know what quote or what I want...any ideas...
I was thinking about the quotes: Not all scars are ugly or Scars are tattoos with better stories...or just get the si ribbion...Idk any ideas?

Personally I wouldn't get anything to remind me of self harm because when I'm 50, do I really want to remember what I did? Also people are going to ask you the meaning of your tattoo...so think about if you want to talk about self harm openly with people. If you don't mind about those things, then I'd just get the ribbon. My reasoning for that is quotes grow really old and really cliche really fast half the time. So if you do get a quote, make sure you're positive you're not going to get tired of it.

I like that idea too. Especially the ribbon in the quote.
But make sure it isnt too vulgar or too cluttered with meaning or just letters/words in general. One, you'll get tired of explaining everything. Two, its better to have a simple meaningful tattoo. & three, when you're 50-80 years old your skin is going to sag a bit I'm sure & you dont want a big black blob of letters on your skin .
Oh, & later on down the road you might not want to have all the detailed memories of your self-injury, but just the memory that you overcame it .
Also, I just thought of this.
Maybe get "Always stay strong" in the shape of a ribbon?
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
rest in peace daddy,
i love you & miss you so much.
taken.
It doesn't matter if the guy is perfect or the girl is perfect, as long as they are perfect for each other.
