Tattoo placement?? Some ideas please...
 

Hey all! I could use some help in placing my tattoo.
The tattoo is of an oak tree with the roots turning into a celtic knot as my next tattoo. any ideas on where it should go? (I'm designing it, so i can make it fit pretty much anywhere.)

I've always loved tattoos in the shoulder blade or upper arm. :]

Between your shoulder blades. I think that's a great place for guys to have tattoos.
The best thing is that you have an almost unlimited amount of room and can even add to it later on without problems.

If you don't like that idea then maybe your upper arm - but possition it so that the celtic knot goes down onto your forearm when you add it. That way it's not so centred.

The only objection I have to on the back, is you can't see it yourself, you know?
What about on your ribs or something? Or your shoulder?

I'm also going to move this to tattoos sub-section. :)

i think you should put it on the inside of your wrist so you can always see it.

Hey all! Thanks for the help. I'm kinda savin my back for other pieces i have planned, but ribs sound good. How big do you all think?

Wrist seems too small...idk lol I want this to be a little bigger.

Ya I've heard that too, but my first tattoo was on the inside of my arm, and thats a bitch in and of itself, so I'm not sure if ribs will be that much worse...anyone with a rib piece able to offer advice/info??

Hey all. Been working with a phenomenal tattoo artist. Doing the piece on my left ribs, and going big. I'll post pictures when i get the outline done. Don't know how long this will take, so if you want to see further pictures, I'm not sure if they'll be posted here or not...so just PM me or find me on facebook or something.

The ribs is one of the more painful spots. personally for me me was worse then the underside of my arm.. but if u can deal with pain, i think it would look really good, as for size that is completely up to you.

Thanks. Meeting with him to compare sketches and talk about pricing. It will take a couple of sittings, but i'll post the initials soon.

Congrats, and have fun. I bet your piece is going to look kick ass. Have fun with multiple sittings, I did that and I actually liked that better. Good luck, take care of it, and keep us updated

Got a different tattoo. Still workin on tree sketches, so I got my other tattoo choice instead.
