Tattoo and piercing question - April 7th 2017, 06:49 PM

Tattoo: My sister and I are getting tattoos sometime next month and I'm wondering what to anticipate about the pain level. The tattoos we're getting are very small and my sister expects it'll take less than ten minutes to finish them. I'm planning on getting mine on the back of my shoulder.

Piercing: I've had triple piercings in each ear for almost six years, my third piercings are extremely uneven (my own fault for going to Claire's to get them done) and I've finally decided to just let them close over. Since they've been pierced for so long, will the holes actually close over? If they do that is a piercing I'd like to get back one day.

Hey,
So I've not had a tattoo but done heaps of research. The back of the shoulder shouldn't hurt much. Probs a bit of a prick, due to the needle buts that all.

This chart may help a bit.

For the Tattoo it really all depends on the person the only tattoo of mine that didn't hurt was behinde my ear but that might be because I got my wrist one right before that. I don't really think the charts and peoples words really mean anything when it comes to Tattoos because everyone else has a different pain thresh hold.

As for the piercing...I have had my ears pierced since I was thirteen and I stopped wearing earrings around 15. I just started gauging mine and they hadn't closed, well the back did but the holes where still there. So I think it all depends. I know if you have had hem for a while they mostly don't close. But what you could do is keep one hole and then have them put the hole in the other ear where it wont be uneven. I think that might be he best bet.

Tattoos just feel like a cat scratch for the most part, unless it's on a sensitive area which behind the shoulder isn't. It's totally bearable, so don't worry! Just make sure you eat something before you go. As for the piercings, I have two piercings in my lobes and with my second set, one of them I can still get an earring through and the other one is closed up in the back. It really does depend, but you can probably count on them not closing over all the way.

And here you are living, despite it all.
