Getting an anime inspired tattoo!
Me and my cousin decided we are getting tattoo's together. She's getting one of a symbol of her favorite band and I wan to get one of a saying from one of my anime obsessions right now. The phrase is
"For the team" I wan't it in Japanese lettering and I goggled it and then sent it to translate on a website and its coming up that the lettering is saying "About the team" or just "For Team" none of the translation is right. So my question is, does anyone know Japanese? And can you possibly give me the right letting in Japanese of the phrase "For the team" ? It would be highly appreciated. Thanks! |

I'm sorry you're having trouble with the translation. Sometimes when we're using those online bots to do it for us some things can get lost and not make much sense in what we're hoping is our translation. Lol. I don't know Japanese but have you checked with the local shops to to see if they'd know anything about it? I'm willing to bet you aren't the first person that wants a Japanese inscription. (: You could also try swinging by a book store or library and find an actual hard copy. Just thumb through it and write down what you're looking for. Good luck and let us know how it goes. -Ron |

The interesting thing about languages is that a lot of sentences can't be translated directly. I don't know Japanese but it's possible that 'For the team' in japanese is directly translated as 'for team' or 'about team'. The problem with online translators is they don't factor in differences in grammar structure.
I hope you find someone Japanese who can help you, as that would be your best bet. |

Why not get it in English? Personally, I never understand why people get tattoos of quotes in languages that they don't know. But that's just me.
If you can't find the proper translation, then what about just getting an art piece instead of a quote? |
