Least painful tattoo spot -
October 8th 2015, 01:30 AM
I really want a tattoo. I know it's gonna hurt like hell wherever I get it, but because I have chronic pain and am really sensitive to touch I want to minimise the pain as much as possible. Where is the least painful place to get a tattoo? Or maybe a better question, which body parts should I definitely avoid?
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!

I tried looking up tattoo pain charts for you but they all seemed kind of arbitrary. For me, the least painful spot was behind my ears, I actually didn't feel any pain. My shoulder blade was also pretty painless. My forearm was like cat scratches, and the one on my hip was extremely painful. It's all relative to the person, and I don't know much about your personal situation but tattoos aren't as bad as they seem. The needles are small and they don't go in very deep. If you're worried about pain, I recommend getting something fairly small so that it takes less time. Fattier areas tend to be the most painful, so you actually want to go with somewhere bonier because there are less nerves there.

The most painful tattoo I've ever gotten is on my neck... I do not recommend that placement, especially if you have issues with chronic pain. I have two tattoos on my wrists and one on my shoulder... I'd say the shoulder was the least painful to get done. I agree with Nicole. Get something small at first to determine what you can handle and go from there and assess for your second tattoo (cause you will want more ).
