HELP MY BANGS. -
June 7th 2019, 07:03 PM
Okay, so my bangs were getting in my eyes, so I tried to cut them, but I cut them WAY TOO SHORT! Like, I don't even have bangs anymore!
And guess what? I can't even post a picture, because teenhelp said "Please post the URL to your image. It doesn't have a URL, because WHY would I post the image online?
I looked up "how to fix too short bangs", but my results were NOT very helpful. In them, the assumption is that the bangs were long enough to pull back. If you can do that, you don't have too short bangs!
And saying "Bad bangs can be annoying blah blah blah ugly herp a derp blah blah blah hacking blah blah blah crazy with the scissors"? Really? The websites might think that they're being all sympathetic and relatable, but really they're just making the problem worse.
Anyway, enough ranting about websites. I need help with my hair. Please. And I need it soon!
Thanks!

Dear Jenna,
I suggest you see a hairdresser, they'll probably have the best idea of what to do with your bangs. If you don't have this possibility, could you try using a hairpin?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm too scared of the hairdresser doing something wrong to my hair, and the bangs are about 1 inch long- too short for hairpins.

The thing is, it doesn't really show, so I would not care that much, but ALL the websites I see on how to fix it try to be sympathetic and cool by saying "Bad bangs can make you look like an insane four year old who got crazy with the kindergerten scissors." And that really makes me feel bad. I guess I could use a wide headband but first of all, I don't know how to get one, and second of all, I wear these unicorn headbands EVERY day. I kind of want to wear them. I know that sounds selfish, but yeah. :P

Okay, so I just decided to try to cut them off COMPLETELY, and I was using my computer camera. It's kind of late, so I'mnot going to go to a mirror.

Hey,
I would go to a parent and have them help you, ask them to take you to a hair dresser. I know you said you are afraid they will message up your hair, but it sounds like it is already messed up and they can help cut and style your hair so it doesn't look so bad.
Also I would not try and fix this yourself anymore. You should never try and cut your hair yourself when you are this young. Next time you want your hair to be different to go a parent and ask them to help, or book a appointment for a hair cut.
I hope this helped. I am always just a pm/VM away if you need to talk.
Your Friend,
Frankie<3

I had the same problem as Jenna and I've used hairpins but they didn't work for me !
I am thinking of using sweatbands, what do you think about this idea ?
