Social Media Scrambling
Ok, so I am not sure exactly what this term is or if it's been thoroughly researched yet. But what I mean by "social media scrambling" is that you open up one of your Social Media accounts — typically Facebook and Instagram — and you get posts from 10+ days ago.
Why does this happen? Does it happen to anyone else? Do you find it annoying? I find it a little insensitive too, considering this might be happening to others. (Enough said.) |
Re: Social Media Scrambling
I think the max I’ve gotten was posts from 3-4 days ago. I’m not sure why it’s happened but it makes it awkward to comment on an old post or frustrating that I’m just seeing something now or already have seen it.

Re: Social Media Scrambling
There are a couple of reasons I can think of - It's become a popular post (might be because it's received recent likes/comments) or because the algorithms can't find anything better to show you instead.
A few things you could try:
The most helpful posts are the ones that tell you about an event that has already passed. :turned: |
Re: Social Media Scrambling
Happens to me on Facebook, but it's not as often anymore. At most I see 2 day old posts, so never bothered to change anything.

Re: Social Media Scrambling
Happened to me a few times, I think these are the posts that I did not see but friends posted them. Actually, it is very hard to understand Instagram and tik tok algorithms since they do not publish them anywhere.
