'Pecos Hank' Schyma, Storm Chaser -
March 16th 2021, 04:03 PM
I subscribe to Pecos Hank on You Tube because his videos of storms of lightning and tornadoes are so exciting to watch. (Another similar storm chasing video received 20 million views!)
Hank's prose is powerful; it draws you in. And then you are hooked.
Quoting Pecos Hank at the beginning of his video, MASSIVE MILE WIDE TORNADO Heading for Oklahoma City Metro !!! - 8 Aug 2015
"At 1:25 p.m a tornado watch was issued and by 2:50 p.m. a small isolated thunderstorm was already producing funnel clouds 60 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. Powerful positive lightning activity was increasing neat a classic merry-go-round base and a tight tornado twisted to the ground. The storm was intensifying and the broader picture revealed a loaded gun scenario with Oklahoma City in its cross-hairs. The tornado's circumference was expanding, and funnels were writhing inside its curtains like a cage full of snakes...."
Wow! No wonder his video generated 2,162,899 views! This is video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHFWkjG8Ix8
Such a brave guy.
Trigger warning: Flashing lightning may cause cerebral distress.

I do love watching storm chaser videos. I used to watch the Storm Chaser TV program quite a lot with my mum, and Twister is one of my favourite films (and also the first film that truly terrified me). There's something really dark and scary about watching it though, and knowing the damage one of these storms could cause. It's crazy how much damage nature can do, but really interesting to watch.

Anyone has go to be dedicated, called even, to do this sort of work. Hank does this so well and in this video he got over 5 million views. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH9A-7Y3lL0
If the TV is boring and invariably is, why not subscribe to Hank's channel so when TV becomes terminal as in, boring, then at least you'll get to see some amazing videos on You Tube.
We, that is, my family call You Tube stuff "videos", not podcasts. I thought podcasts were something different, but I suppose we're all different and tend to stick to the descriptions we're most acquainted with. And that's fine by me.
Here's another jaw-dropping video, this one getting over 20 million views! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWIx3Erswh8
I write to Hank regularly; we have a great rapport and he writes to Wendi a lot, too. Presently Hank's away on vacation. Probably beautiful Thailand again where is wife was born. I envy then snorkeling among the beautiful fish. Such as this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AapWKEp82Qs but watch out for jellyfish and congers!
I'm not keen on spiders and snakes, though. Again, each to their own.
Closing with some beautiful Sprites. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15Rdfz1UPJk shot in fantastic 4K.
Now you know where I got my name from.

Quick update. Hank is presently in Thailand with his wife on vacation. He will be back to his You Tube channel on their return to Houston in Texas.

I've kept up with Pecos Hank for about a year now. I find his videos fascinating. I've been terribly afraid of tornadoes since I was a young child, but viewing them from a distance, through his footage, is strangely comforting.
