Exclamation work.. - November 28th 2013, 11:20 AM

This job is making me feel even more pathetic. I started at waterstones this week and im constantly forgetting how to do things and work things, or getting stuff wrong. It just makes me feel like I cant do anything right. People are almost too nice abput it too...I don't know if is rather them shout at me or get annoued or sonething. I don't know what I'm aakibg here but I'm going to be on nearly 40 hours next week and.im already exhausted. :/

Hi Hollie, Your new to the job and are bound to get things wrong and forget things, don't worry about it. Just try your best and that's all anyone can ask of you. If your getting tired with the hours your working you could talk to your employer about it and see if there is anything they can do to help you. I hope things improve for you

I'm here if anyone wants to talk, I'm always here. Feel free to VM or PM me

The job is new, so I think that you just may need a little bit of practice, and then you'll catch right on. Don't be afraid to ask questions or make mistakes, because that is how you learn, and I doubt anyone there expects you to know everything after only being there a week.

Jenny is right that you can also talk to your employer about the hours.

That's how everyone feels when they start out. Once you start getting the hang of things, it won't be as bad!
