Considering going back to college - September 6th 2012, 10:35 AM

Okay a few weeks ago I had a letter in the post/mail from my old college E inviting me to do a course with them again, which may widen my job possibilities, but it will cost like £150-£300 if I'm not benefits, I'm not on any sort of benefits but I do not earn enough to pay for a course, my parents won't pay for me and they won't allow me to use my savings for the course either, I also have the slight issue of my friend needing me to help her with her college work for her course as she struggles to word it and such like, I also work and I know doing another course will give more qualifications and give me more job options etc. I want to do the course but I don't know if I can as my parents want me to see if I can find a job first before doing another course.

Can you work a job and do the course? If it'll widen your job possibilities, you should do it. Explain to your parents that it will widen them. Tell them you'll get a better, more well paying job if you take the course. Try borrowing the money from them and paying it off later.
