My plant is growing a mushroom!
I have a potted plant that somehow sprouted a mushroom. I’m trying so hard not to kill these plants. They’re still just sprouting. Will the mushroom kill it?

Is it just a mushroom or is it a yellow mushroom?
Either way, mushrooms in your potted plants isn’t gonna do anything to your plants. Mushrooms appear if you’ve been overwatering your plants or the soil that your plant is in is super fertile and healthy or most of the time there was already spores in your plant, this happens when the factory or nursery was putting the soil and the plant together, the temp in your home and humidity plus you watering the plant created the perfect environment for the mushies. In short, they don’t harm your plant at all, but if you’re not keen on having extra plants, you can pluck them out. What kinda potted plant is it? |
Re: My plant is growing a mushroom!
Hello Dez :)
The mushrooms are not going to hurt your plants in anyway. Sometimes if you use too much water they can come up. That is how I have gotten them. I have this article on mushrooms if you want to read it, it talks about why they come up. It is, http://www.balconycontainergardening...ainer%20plants. I understand when you have plants or a garden and you see something and it can be hard to stay calm. Every year I have a garden, so I look it over everyday. I wish you the best with your plants and I know a lot about them, let me know if you need help. Sending you:hug: |
Re: My plant is growing a mushroom!
No, mushrooms usually grew in the most humid and in the shadows area of your plant. It's not a bad thing at all! Be happy about it!
