not bullied but still hurts -

Okay so i have always been very tiny. I am 5'1 3/4" and weigh very little. now this has always been a major self esteem issue for me because it is an obvious thing people can make fun of me for and it is one thing that will truly upset me.
now i understand my friends are just kidding but they make fun of how small and almost child like my body is. one boy even told me he would like me if i didnt look ten Im 15 NOW!! That hurts to think that no matter what i can't keep up with all these beautiful girls. Breaking up with my boyfriend (now ex.. doesnt help). I see all these girls with perfect hour glasses and it makes me self concious about everything i wear. Honestly i just want to feel pretty.
i feel like i will never measure up to people's standards. My only true insecurity is my body and i would be fine if people would leave me alone about it. it makes me feel worthless. Again i know they dont mean anything but it still hurts.

I would honestly kill to have your body, hun.
Think of it this way, everyone is unique. Everyone is built in different ways. You'll get curves soon. I really don't think that they are that great. :/ I wish I didn't have them. Be thankful you are the size that you are. And, the height thing.. I've heard more guys say that they think shorter girls are cuter than taller girls. So, don't listen to that jerk. He just wanted a laugh. Obviously, you or noone else is laughing. You are very pretty, a nice height, and have a body that most girls would love to have. Be thankful. Cause, when those curves come.. you may wish to be the size you are, again. lol

Size is not everything, I think personality makes up for a-lot. Maybe tell your friends how much them joking with you about your height upsets you. Hopefully once your friends know them joking about your height upsets you they will stop, and if they don't it might be worth trying to find some new friends who accept you for how you are. Not everybody has the hour-glass shape, people come in all shapes, heights and sizes!

Well I'm kind of like you (shorter and younger (im 14 n sophomore n everyone else is 15 in my class) nd I look younger like a 11yr old so they always treat me like a kid and it's harder to gain peoples respect) but I keep in mind one thing: I might be short now but that doesn't mean that I'm nobody cause I'll either get taller in the future or I'll be someone greater or higher (by career) than them someday so you should keep that in mind and girls like you aren't the type that can hook up with any guy, you will only be capable of finding true love cause only someone who really loves you can accept you for who and what (short girl nothing else) you are. Hopes this helps.

*You dont need to measure up to peoples standards - you need to measure up to your own!*
Unfortunatly this is how teen years are - you will never be perfect, and those girls that you think are, arent. There is ALWAYS someone who will criticize you, and there is ALWAYS someone who will critcize others. The one thing that Teens fail to realize is that you dont have to live up to peoples standards; live up to your own. Be happy with yourself. Look at yourself, and say this is who I am, I cant change it, I can only accept it. If you say that alot, then eventually you will believe it - and you will be a lot happier person.
They also fail to realize that the character and personailty is what means the most. You can take the hottest guy in the world, and put him with the hottest girl in the world and the relationship will fail. Why? because you cant be happy with someone just based on their looks... You cant maintain a FUNCTIONAL relationship based on looks because it will ALWAYS fail. Sure looks attract, but attraction to looks only get you so far.
I wish the best for you, and I hope you eventually realize that you need to love yourself before others can learn to love you and who you are.
Best wishes,
Chris
