Happy TeenHelp Day: Celebrating 25 years!

TeenHelp was founded on July 13th 1998 and today we celebrate our 25th Anniversary!

TeenHelp has changed in many ways, stayed the same in other ways, but still continues to be a place where people can turn to for support, advice and friendship. Thank you to all our members who make this community such a special place.

Coming up

We have lots of exciting activities taking place to mark the occasion, so watch out for things to come:

• Learn about the history of TeenHelp
• See the difference we've made to people over the years
• Competition - Guess the year of the logo
• Newsletter special - announcement of competition winner and TH timeline
• Read about users' memories over the years
• Take part in fun games and discussions such as TeenHelp's 25th Anniversary game & 25 things about TH
  
• Celebrate volunteers who run the site in our Summer Awards

Competition

To start things off, we have put together a fun competition for you to try and guess the year of some of the logos we've had over the years. Open the spoiler to see the competition. Winners will be announced on 31st July.

Rules

• One entry per person.
• Please email your entry to publications@teenhelp.org and include your username in the subject line. Alternatively you can PM your entry to Halcyon.
• Entries must be submitted by 25th July.

Prizes

• 1st prize is a £20 gift voucher of your choice (Amazon or Etsy).
• 2nd prize is a handwritten letter from Rob and 12 months of additional features on the site.
• Everyone who enters will receive 1,000 experience points.

Action Plan update

We're happy to share the second annual update of how we're doing towards our 5 year plan, progress over the past year includes:

• Set up new channels to make getting advice even easier
• Reviewed our values and mission
• Staff training and resources to help volunteers get the best experience
• More marketing and outreach, with a new promotions tookit
• Improved moderator practices from member feedback
• Built on content and activities, including more stories, testimonials, discussions and games
• New volunteer opportunities
