(tw pet death) sudden death -

One of the cats, Moley, suddenly passed away last night. Mum took him to the emergency vet and put him down while I was asleep, I only found out this morning. It was a heart problem, we had no way of knowing. I feel numb right now, but I know it's going to hit me like a bag of bricks later. My eyes are sore from crying. It's just not fair. He was only 5 years old. I'm ruined.

Hello,
I am so sorry about your loss and hope that you will be okay soon. When we have someone who passes away on us, we are allowed to feel however we may feel. If you have pictures of your cat, see if someone in your family would like to put them in a scrapbook and you can write little messages about different memories that you had together. Take your time with what has happened and today you may feel like crying, in a few days you may feel angry or something else and that is totally fine. You can even try writing in a journal how you are feeling or write down on paper how you feel and then afterwards you can rip it up and throw it away in the trash, by doing this you are able to get some of the hurting out of you. I hope that you will be okay soon. Sending you lots of to help you to feel better soon.
