The Girl And Her Dog (poss grieving trig?) - May 19th 2012, 04:43 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of death or grieving, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

They're inseparable
The girl and her dog
The best of friends
Until the very end

They spent every day together
Nothing separated them ever
The girl would love her forever
The dog would watch her forever
The love they have would never be severed

Every day they were happy
Always expecting more days to come
Until one day the dog had to sleep forever
And the girl said goodbye forever
Both would always remember

The dog was now in Heaven
The girl down on Earth
Trying to brave the world
Without her best friend to save her
To hold her when she cries
To stay by her side

The girl will miss her always
The dog will watch her always
In their hearts always

And one day they'll be together again
The girl and her dog
Desiree and Misty
The best of friends
Until the very end

I wrote this for my dog, Misty, who we had to put down today. We grew up together. RIP Misty Rose, March 21, 2002 - May 18, 2012

This is such a moving poem. I'm sorry to hear about your dog - it must be very hard for you. Always here if you need to talk <3.

I'm so sorry about your dog, Dez. I definitely know how you feel. Your poem almost made me cry, the emotion is so strong. This is a wonderful poem, and I'm sure Misty is in a better place, and is watching over you. Stay strong, things will get better.

This was so heartfelt. I know how much you cared about her, and I know it must hard without her, but at least she's not in pain anymore. I'm here if you ever want to talk.
