Food poisoning.

Has anyone experienced having food poisoning? I recently had it for the first time and felt awful for the first couple of days.

As far as I know, I've never gotten food poisoning. I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you.

I hope you are beginning to feel better now. Be sure to take it easy for the next few days.

I've had norovirus, a pretty contagious foodborne illness. It's super contagious, though, and I got it from my niece who probably picked it up from a changing table. So, not the traditional route.

There's the possibility my sister gave me food poisoning once because I got sick after eating her homemade yogurt, but it could have been a coincidence as well because I developed a migraine after.

48 million people in the US get food poisoning yearly. Depending on the source I look at it's 1 in 6 or 1 in 7 people. Chances are if you've had a stomach bug, it may have been food poisoning! Of course, that's not always the case.

I once got food poisoning from eating raw cookie dough. Definitely unpleasant. I hope you feel better soon, if you don't already.

I thought it was a stomach bug at first as well but then I realized it was too coincidental that as soon as I ate prawns, I developed the symptoms. :nosweat:

Another fun fact, symptoms can begin within about half an hour, so you can even be at the restaurant still when you get symptoms!
