Excititing! Some Scandinavian baking recipes!

It's probably a given that we adore chocolate cake, so the ‘kladdaka’ sticky chocolate cake in the link below should make us quite - :dem:

Plus 'Apple and cinnamon cake
Norwegian cream buns
Daim cookies
and real cinnamon buns (kanelbullar)

Stylist.co.uk 'food-drink' page looks WOW! :hehe:

Munchies time is here again! :dance1:

For a start we're going to make Daim cookies. Our Tommy said how much she loves Daim bars so that's what we're going to make this afternoon, but I'd love to make that apple and cinnamon cake as we've got some nice apples today from the market.

They baked out very well, but were so delish they didn't last long. Next time our little sister makes them she'll have to triple the quantities! :nosweat:

That apple and cinnamon cake came out lovely, so we'll be making it again. Lovely for afternoon tea-time. But we bought the ingredients for that sticky chocolate cake and made it. Hmmm. It had a nice fudgey texture, but was a bit too sweet for my liking and doesn't use a shot of espresso like Nigel Slater's chocolate espresso cake. Also this sticky chocolate cake doesn't use egg white, so won't sink like his or have a characteristic crispy top.

Maman found Nigel Slater's recipe for anyone to try.

It's an old favourite, but make two. Oh yes, you'll have to. ;)
