French toast - but casserole?

Is this another recipe from those arty Hoxton twats, I wondered, looking dubiously at the recipe on-screen.

I gave this a go. French Toast Casserole To my surprise it turned out pretty amazing. So good it was tonight that I just have to share it with you gize. Though I also made some lush creme patissiere.

That's custard to you Brits! :D
