Festive cookie recipe.
There's a festive cookie recipe I wanted to share - it's not mine but I make them each year. I forget what they're called, which shows how long is been since I've been able to bake! D: There are substitutions you can make as well so I plan to put those here. I think I might have pictures from last year to post along with them.
This is more of a reminder because I forget quickly. |

How to make red velvet crinkle cookies By Cassie (cynefin) https://attachment.outlook.live.net/...animation=true I enjoy baking cookies all year long, but I know many people especially like to bake them around the holidays. Red velvet crinkle cookies are a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. I bake these around Christmas, Valentine's Day, and throughout the colder months. Note that this recipe is not mine - I use this one. To make these cookies, you will need the following:
Preheat your oven to 375F (C). Combine your powdered sugar and corn starch in a small bowl, and set aside. You won't need this until later. Put the cake mix, butter (melt in the microwave but let cool before adding), eggs, and lemon zest in a bowl and mix well. Feel fee to use a spoon, cake mixer, or your hands! Roll the cookie dough into 1 inch balls, then roll in the powdered sugar and cornstarch mix. Put on a baking tray, and bake for 9-11 minutes or until they appear set at the edges. Allow to cool. Once cool, give them a try! The end result depends on the size of the cookie and the amount of sugar, but they will resemble the cookies above. Store them in an airtight container with wax or parchment paper. Still needs some links and alternatives, I'm going to come back for those. |
