Meatloaf Recipe - August 5th 2012, 06:34 PM

Meatloaf Recipe
Makes - 8 Servings

Ingredients:
Meatloaf:
1 lb Ground Beef (96/4)
1/2 Med. Onion, diced
2 Eggs
50 Saltine Crackers, crumbled
2 Tbsp Garlic, minced
6 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup (Heinz)
1/4 Cup Milk Reduced Fat 2%
3 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (Lea & Perrins)

Sauce Topping:
8 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup (Heinz)
10 tsp Dark Brown Sugar (Imperial Sugar)
4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (Lea & Perrins)

Directions:
Combine in bowl ingredients for meatloaf: uncooked ground beef, ketchup,
onion, egg, crackers, garlic, milk, and Worcestershire sauce thoroughly
mixing together ingredients by hand. Once mixed form into a loaf shape.
Grease bottom of a 5x9 loaf pan and place mixture into dish. Cover with
aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 45-60 minutes.

While meatloaf is cooking, prepare topping by combining ketchup, dark
brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well to ensure brown sugar
is broken up, set aside.

Check center of meatloaf, when it is just about cooked throughout, remove
foil and spread sauce over top. Place back into oven, uncovered, and
bake for another 15-25 minutes until meatloaf is fully cooked.

Let cool for about 5-10 minutes before covering meatloaf with more sauce.
Not required but is recommended for better tasting.

Enjoy (: Please tell me whataya think. Its a family recipe but I have
messed around with it alot.

I love meatloaf, but I've never made it like this. I'll have to try your version sometime soon!

I love meatloaf, but I do suggest you have a meatloaf pan.
All the grease that comes out of the meat doesn't taste so well.

I'd love to hear how you like it (:
