Meeting his parents....
So, I'm seeing this guy... we're not exactly dating.. so I cant call him my boyfriend.. anyways.. I'm meeting his parents tomorrow. and in shitting myself... I'm so scared and anxious..
What if they don't like me? What do I do? I've never met a boys parents before 😣 |

Hi Maddi,
Meeting parents for the first time is always very nerve wracking. There's not really anything you can prepare ahead of time to help you calm down before they meet you. What I would recommend is try and be yourself, dress a little nicer (don't wear like track pants), make sure your hair is nice, and just make sure that you don't use any foul language. I'm sure they will like you, it takes a lot for parents to not like who their son/daughter are seeing. As long as they see that you are kind and treating him well then you should be okay! Good luck! I agree with Brittany; it's pretty nerve wracking meeting the parents the first time.
The best thing to do is to dress on the nicer side, whatever that means for you, and be polite. Also, be yourself but if you tend to swear try to keep it to a minimum (people like me can struggle in that area so I understand). But don't worry, if you make a nervous blunder, they're not going to hate you. Even as your boyfriends parents, they're still humans and generally humans aren't predisposed to disliking someone for no reason. If the worst they think afterwards is that you're weird, then that's ok. Just breath easy and it'll be over before you know it. |

Just relax. There's a reason why the guy likes you, and I'm sure his parents will be able to see why you two are a great match. Don't stress too much over how you look and what you do, but just treat it as an informal interview. You want to give a good impression, just like any other interview, but this is obviously a much less formal environment and situation! I'm sure it'll be fine, so just enjoy it! Kyra :) |

You'll be fine. It can't be any worse than how I met my ex girlfriends dad. He walked in on us having sex. It was a very awkward hello.
