parents view on my relationship - March 7th 2016, 12:04 AM

my parents don't seem to understand me. i have a boyfriend and he is everything a girl would want . but they keep on chasing mi and telling mi drop him because they say am not ready. i love him and maybe people say at our age we don't know what we love but i feel it deep down inside and i don't know what to do to make it easy to get to interact with him around them.

Have your parents truly gotten to know your boyfriend? One thing that may help is inviting him over for dinner so they can truly get to know what he is like. You may also want to make agreements with your parents, such as your grades won't fall just because you are dating him, that you'll call to check in when out with him, or that you'll follow a curfew.

I think your parents are thinking it will affect your school work. If you can balance it well kudos for you, but invite him over, speak to your parents without acting like a typical teenage about it and to sneaking off.... i mean this happens all the time but at least sometimes ask your parents if you can go out with him
