Cybering Addiction - December 4th 2010, 12:56 AM

Hi..this is my first time on here, mostly because I have nowhere else to turn.

I like to chat on omegle and meet guys on there. A lot of times I end up cybering with them. They tell me they want to talk again, sometimes they email me,but most of the time they drop off the face of the earth. It hurts me A LOT, but I keep doing it. I hate to say it, but I am addicted to cyber sex and I don't know how to stop. Looking for cyber sex on omegle has started taking up all of my free time. How do I stop!?

I love omegle. That must be hard on you, being addicted to something like that. You could try and do something not on the computer, or avoid being on omegle if you must use the computer. Keep busy and make sure your mind is on other things.

Do you have friends outside the world of computers? It could be healthy for you to stop the internet usage for a while and try connection with people in your community. Some may actually want a real relationship. PM me if you'd like to talk

Thank you girls,I appreciate it!
I've been trying to find new hobbies, but I have a hard time keeping them. And I do have friends, but I just feel like they don't fully understand me and if I came to them with a problem like this they wouldn't understand.

Re: Cybering Addiction - December 4th 2010, 02:37 AM

I used to go on Omegle but I've never done the video chatting; I guess that's because I'm afraid I'd become addicted to it. It's blocked at my college, so it's not like I could go on it now if I wanted to.

Like the others said, with any internet addiction it's best to get off the computer. Go hang out with real life friends; go on a vacation without taking your computer; only use your computer in public places when others are around. (I made the mistake of taking my computer to Florida with me...) On the next vacation I go on, the only pieces of technology I'm taking with me are my cell phone and camera.

Sweetie, on Omegle? Only thing you can do is stop. That site is full of perverts.
