Question about Alcohol Side-Effect -
December 20th 2009, 11:51 PM
Okay. Well last night, I got incredibly smashed.
I ended up in the hospital.
Its almost been 24 hours and I still feel like Im drunk.
Just a question. Does alcohol affect your hearing?
Because I already some hearing loss and the party I was at yesterday involved people screaming into my ear to be able to talk to them.
My music sounds weird right now.

Hey there,
Drinking alcohol can throw off your hearing, vision, emotions and perceptions. It's normal that, if you're still feeling the effects from the alcohol, that things may feel or seem "weird" or "different".
For more information on the short-term effects of alcohol, check out http://www.abovetheinfluence.com/fac..._properAlcohol.
Take care, and please, stay safe.

Regardless of the alcohol, having people screaming in your ears is going to affect your hearing.

Super Hangover? -
December 21st 2009, 04:30 PM
So on Saturday I got completely smashed.Like I ended up going unconcious. I ended up in the hospital. I smashed my face up.
Yesterday, I was still weak, confused, and dizzy.
Today though I feel dizzy, confused, my back hurts, and two of my fingers are slightly numb.
Is it normal for this happen after that much drinking? Is it still going to take a lot of time to recover?

Hey there,
Usually after a heavy night of drinking you will feel odd the next day. I usually don't get hangovers but the rare time I do. I would recommend drinking a lot of water, and orange juice, because your body could still be dehydrated. If tomorrow you still don't feel the greatest. I would consider going back to the hospital, as you may have done some damage to your liver. Or you may have alcohol poisoning, but try and stay away from alcohol for a little while, and help recover your liver.
Good luck

Yes, it can. It messes you up and advise you to drink it in moderation.
I wouldn't go crazy and start downing it either.

The only time I've had well... no bad side effects was when I passed out for 10 hours or so drunk, no hangover, nothing...
My head had a kind of whine to it the next day though, I felt a bit confused, and as I remember my hearing was slightly affected, but in terms of how I could have felt, I had no aches or pains...
Im jus' saying, from my limited experience, if its badly affected your hearing, I'd get it checked out ... But it could be due to loud music, loud noises, or something else completely un-alcohol related
