It's amazing that you're making this effort! It takes a strong person to acknowledge they are doing something wrong and try to fix it.
Stay strong, i know you can beat these addictions!

Hi Casper,
First - Congrats on one month. That's an amazing achievement and I think setting goals to stop these bad habits is a great idea. For you and for those that love you as well. You can do this! If you ever need someone to talk to, or encouragement you can always find it here in this forum for your goals and my inbox is always open as well.
Setting your goals is the first step, and I think maybe by trying to find other things that are healthy ways of coping with whats going on might be a good idea. Like finding alternatives for cutting, smoking, and drinking. They're bad coping mechanisms like you said but there are plenty of healthy ones that you might find useful as well. You could also maybe spend the free time you have from doing these things to put into things that matter to you - like your kids for example? Maybe instead of engaging in those habits, you could do something with them that they enjoy like playing a game, doing a puzzle, or going to the park.
Keep going. You'll get there!

I think those are some really good goals! It's lovely to see that you want to set a better example for your kids, and I'm also sure that cutting down on those things will be better for your own health too. You've done really well so far and I hope that this continues for you! I'm not sure where you are, but if you find yourself struggling at times, is it possible to talk with your doctor? I know that here in the UK we have schemes to help people give up smoking, so that might be something to look into. Otherwise, best of luck!

It is definitely a hard goal, but it is definitely attainable.
Best of luck!
