Video Game Addiction, 90 day detox - April 16th 2016, 03:05 AM

Hey everyone,

In the past I have struggled with video game addiction. Recently, games have been creeping back into my life and occupying time that is valuable. I've decided to go on a 90-day detox where I quite cold turkey for 90 days. I will be starting tomorrow. If anyone else would like to join me, feel free to PM me and we can support each other through this.

The basic idea is that it takes about 90 days to break an addiction due to the increase in dopamine released when you have these types of habits. Detoxing for 90 days is a way to clear your head from the 'cloud' that any addiction puts over you. If you've ever struggled with video games, you know how difficult it can be to moderate, reduce your time playing, etc. So, I'm going to put away with that and just try this cold turkey.

If you're interested PM me, if not, I'm posting this here as a way to keep myself accountable, and in case I need future support.
