Sex addiction - November 22nd 2012, 11:59 PM

All I think about is sex. This has been going on for years and I feel like it may be getting worse. I'm in a relationship with a girl that I love but I think this is taking a toll on our relationship but I don't know how to fix it. We've talked about it before and I do admit I have a problem. But why? Seems like I'm just a typical guy. Any help?

It's just a matter of trying to take control of yourself and your hormones. How long exactly have you been dating this girl? It is normal to some extent in the beginning of a relationship to feel this way--well--at least I felt that way. It went away when I was able to control myself and just say no. If you really think something is wrong though, I would consult a doctor.

I've moved this over to Sex&Puberty since your question is regarding your addiction.
I agree with Cody. I also want to add that as long as you are able to use your reasoning and judgement over your love for sex, then it shouldn't get in the way too much. Talk to your girlfriend and if she isn't in the mood to have sex, then find something else that you two can do together. Its normal to like it, but if you feel its holding you back in life then it would be a good idea to talk to a professional.

And here you are living, despite it all.
