Paula Deen hides her type 2 diabetes -
January 18th 2012, 05:14 AM
I was seeing this all over Facebook and Twitter tonight, and I finally had to look it up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma9ysdY30XU I think it's ridiculous the big deal people are making about this, but that's just me. I wanted to see what everybody else thinks about this.

If she chooses to tell or not is her choice. Why do people not mind their own business? It's her own problem, no one else's.
Within a family... it makes sense that people disclose this sort of information to each each other. Why is there "outrage" if someone like her chooses not to disclose it to the public? It's no one's business.
"I don't care about politics"
Then politics doesn't care about you either. Truth. You've got to make your voice heard, if you want to be listened to. But that's too logical for some people, so let me go a step further. Not making your voice heard, leaves other people free to hijack it by speaking on your behalf, even if they don't actually give a shit about you. That's politics. So, make your voice heard. That's not a quote from anywhere. That's just me.

It's really not a big deal. She didn't want people to know she had diabetes. Who cares?? It's her personal information. It's not anyone's business, but hers.
wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.

It's not anyone else's business so I seriously don't see the big deal about it. If it matters so much about Paula Deen hiding her Diabetes; why doesn't everyone in this entire world go on TV to announce they have Diabetes?
..I hate media and paparazzi. I shun them.

I read four blogs last night about all upset for the same reason. Not that she hid her disease but that she didin't seem to take any responsibility for it. Quite frankly I found it rude that all for people were blaming her for having her disease saying that despite her saying that she doesn't really eat like her cooking show all the time, that can't be true and it MUST be because of her diet that she has diabetes. Certainly it was a contributing factor, but she's got diabetes why on earth would the woman lie about the way she eats? The bloggers thought that she should be taking complete responsibility for getting this disease and that she should right away start changing the way she cooks on her shows. I think it's ridiculous.

I agree with the majority here. Why does it matter what the public knows. It's her personal life she doesn't need to tell anyone anything if she doesn't need to. I think it's really sad if people are worrying because she's keeping quiet about it.

I wonder, if so many were hung up over the fact Paula Deen hid her diabetes from the world as though it were an inbred child locked in the basement, do they want to know when she's constipated? When she had diarrhea? When she masturbated? When she clogged her toilet? If people do, there's something wrong with them because these are trivial, fairly disgusting occurrences that people tend to not disclose but if people want her to be open, does that not mean they want to know whether the chicken marsala or lamb burger made her fart so badly she shat herself?
