I think I am going to become a doctor and just look stuff up on webmd whenever a patient comes in.
I went to my doctor today about an ongoing condition and she didn't really say anything at all to help me and didn't really explain anything or even really say what it could be at all. She only spoke to me for less than 5 minutes and then charged me $108 for her time. After about 5 minutes on the computer I got an exact match as to what it seems to be and more information about why it is happening and over the counter medicine that can help it. I feel like webmd won this round. There goes 2 and a half of my days salary for nothing (I only work part time )
"Make it stop,
Let this end.
This life chose me, I'm not lost in sin.
But proud I stand of who I am,
I plan to go on living."
I think some doctors can be useless at times but you shouldn't use WebMD as a replacement for them. For starters, WebMD can't organise things like blood tests etc. if you need them or refer you to specialists. WebMD sometimes can get things right but it's not as reliable as seeing a doctor.
If you feel your doctor isn't doing anything for you then I'd suggest changing doctors rather than being reliant on the internet for diagnosis'
Well that's good that you're not relying on it then, I'd still say change your doctor so you avoid wasting money in future if she really is that incompetent
Also, I'll move this to Why Me? since I feel it fits better there as you're more having a rant than asking anything
I'm sorry this happened to you. Sometimes doctors seem to be focused on the wrong thing when you go into see them. I know that I've been overcharged several times going in to see what's wrong (so bad in fact, my mom stops taking me if something is wrong!) so I know how frustrated you must be. I'm going into college and there's an on-campus nurse that provides basic check-ups and booster shots for free (yes they're very qualified it's just that tuition covers it) as well as discounts on prescription medication and x-rays. You may want to look into something similar to that (or just a cheaper doctor) to see if you're available for anything that could help you save some extra cash. Good luck!
You might want to switch doctors. It doesn't seem like yours is paying attention to you at all. I want to be a doctor when I get older and would feel horrible if I did that to any of my patients.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive
