Question pain in the spine - December 9th 2009, 07:51 PM

It's really scary and I don't know why I have this.
Suddenly my spine began to hurt all day and that was 2 weeks ago.
I can't lay down without feeling pain in my spine, it's really bad. I can't sleep so good because of that. Yesterday it started to hurt next to the spine, where the muscles are. Today it got worse. And I just don't know why :S
And two weeks ago I got many bruises on my legs. But nothing happened like falling down or else. I am not that clumsy. But these bruises just came and they don't vanish.
I even lose more hair, I can get through my hair with my hands and I've got like 20 hairs in my hand. I just need to brush it, and the sink is full of hair.
It's really scary..
Anyone know what it could be?

No one here is qualified to diagnose you, so you really ought to go and seek medical attention, especially since this pain sounds quite awful and crippling. Also the hairloss and unexplained bruises can't be good!

Trawling the internet for causes/solutions isn't a good idea as websites tend to be rather ambiguous or contradicting!

Take care x

It sounds a lot like lyme disease. Spinal pain, bruising and hair loss are all symptoms. Have you been outside where deers may tread, lately? Do you have any rashes on your skin? Lyme disease is caused by deer tics that attach themselves to your body, but are so tiny to see. They transmit the disease into your system. It can be fatal if not treated so please, get to a doctor asap. if caught, it is very easily treatable. I can't tell you that it's that for sure, but regardless, those symptoms need to be seen.

I think you should consult a doctor before it gets serious. you mentioned you have this pain for 2 weeks. so its better to check early.
