I do get nauseous and feel sick when I haven't gotten enough sleep, so it's definitely possible that they are related.
I agree with the above poster about keeping track of what is happening. For example, you said it lasts about 1-2 hours and then goes away, and that it happens in the morning. Do you eat breakfast, and if not are you hungry? Is what you're eating for breakfast triggering nausea? Do you have any medications that you take in the morning? The reason I ask about medications is because when I first started a new medication I would get nauseous about 2 hours after taking it. Try to notice patterns like if you're doing certain activities before the nausea came on and how you slept the night before.
If you need to go to the doctor there are things that can be done. With permission you can take over the counter nausea medication, or the doctor can even prescribe you a nausea medication. I take a prescription one called Zofran. For some people, ginger helps such as chewing ginger candy or drinking ginger ale. A friend of mine sucks a peppermint candy. If you start throwing up Gatorade or Pedialyte can help replenish your electrolytes so you don't dehydrate. If the sleep becomes an issue moving forward there are also prescription or over the counter medications you can try for sleep, such as melatonin, with your doctor's approval. It could be temporary but definitely keep an eye on it.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
