Covid Vaccines for UK Patients
I found out that UK patients will be contacted by the NHS, namely Public Health England: https://www.gov.uk/government/organi...health-england
UK patients will receive a phone call from the NHS as to where and when they can go to get their covid vaccine. The exceptions are 'highly clinically vulnerable' people who, having to stay at home 'being shielded' will be visited. All the information is on that Public Health England site. I hope this is helpful to UK peeps. :) |
Re: Covid Vaccines for UK Patients
Though this method of rollout is very good in reaching the majority of the population, I worry for those who may not have access to a phone, or haven't been able to update their number.
As much as people think a lot of people will have a phone as it's 2021, there are people out there whom I know don't have access to one because they either pay for a phone and a phone bill, or they don't eat. The rollout method in England is the same for the whole of the UK at least. I'm saddened that my mum doesn't want to receive it and feels like the older generation are just 'guinea pigs'. I can't force her to take it, but for her sake I hope she never catches it. |
Re: Covid Vaccines for UK Patients
This is good news.
Though my mum is shielding and, while we are in Wales not England, I hope it's not compulsory that those who are shielding to be visited when receiving the vaccine. My mum would be more than happy to receive the vaccine elsewhere (though within reason as we don't have a car). Some of us, possibly due to executive functioning issues, have messy houses and don't like inviting people in due to this :nosweat: |
