I do! I love mine, honestly. They're black on the outside, and an aqua like color on the inside.
Resilient
1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.

I started wearing glasses just over a year ago. But they are for stuff like computer work, reading, stuff like that. I have a very light prescription. At first I hated them, but once I realized how much I needed them, I got used to them.
Mine look black from a distance, but are very dark blue, though almost teal. And my lenses are tinted light pink to help with headache.

I have needed glasses since I was 5 years old. My eyes are so bad that I got told I was almost legally blind when I was like 13 or something. I cannot see anything without glasses or contacts. I wear my contacts 24/7 and hardly give my eyes a break.
mine are black or dark blue on top with glitter, and clear on bottom.
Glasses can be very annoying and I understand being upset about having to wear them. But once you get used to them they may not bug you anymore.
If they continue to bug you and it turns out you need them for everything maybe you can look into getting contacts.

I do! I’ve been wearing glasses since fourth grade. These ones are brown. I think everyone kind of doesn’t like how they look when they first start wearing glasses but then they get used to how they look. I was also quite happy to stop getting as many headaches from eye strain

I've been wearing glasses since I was roughly 13? I remember the first time I had them, and I didn't want to wear them. Now, I wear them all the time and couldn't imagine my life without them You'll get used to them, don't worry!
My current glasses are black but my last pair were pink

I wear glasses and have since I was 17. When I was younger they used to bother me but as I've gotten older I started realizing that I like the way I look in glasses. I actually prefer glasses to contacts. I feel 'naked' without my glasses now.
If you are uncomfortable with glasses maybe at some point you can try contacts. There are some people that love their contacts. My sister in law wears contacts and swears they are the best thing ever.
My glasses are black with jewels on the side. They are rounder frames which I've come to love.

I've been wearing glasses since about fifteen I think. Most of the people in my house have glasses. My least favorite part is cleaning them especially when it rains, or when I forget to take them off when scooping the litter and I get litter dust on them.
My glasses at the moment are black, narrow rectangular frames. There are little jewels on the side of my eyes and then there are fiery-like stripes on the other part.
Glasses aren't so bad when you get used to them. I like how I look in mine.

I wear glasses at all times. Mine are kind of tortoise shell/turquoise with gold studs on the side. I love them! I've been wearing glasses since 2015 and they're my favorite pair I've ever had.

I have some that I've had since I was 18, but I rarely use them. They were mainly for being at the computer. I mostly used them at university so I could sit further back and still see the lecture slides.

First of all, I love the two colors you chose for your glasses; I bet they are really pretty. I don't wear glasses, but some people have suggested that I do.
What is it about wearing glasses that annoys you? I understand that it can be tricky to get used to something new like this.

I've worn glasses since second grade! My eyes gave out on me early. But obviously I'm super used to them by now and they don't bother me at all! I just got new ones that I actually have to go pick up... I think they're bronze? Or blue? Something like that! I forget! But they looked cute!

I think the two most annoying things about wearing glasses are having to push it up the bridge of your nose every so often and cleaning the glass at least four times a day. But, if it improves your vision, it's definitely worth it!

I do. I love my glasses, and I'm greatly attached to them emotionally. Just simple, rectangular black frames. The lenses themselves are extra scratch-resistant, though they've got some on them by now.
The risk I took was calculated, but boy, am I bad at math.

Clean them :P
Honestly though, if they cause a headache constantly, you might need different lenses. That being said, when you first start wearing glasses, some discomfort might appear. But if it's too strong, contact the doctor with whom you had your eye exam or whatever it's called.

I've worn glasses since I was probably about 5. I used to be rubbish at wearing them but now I rely on them so badly and prefer the way I look with them! Don't be upset about it though, if you need to wear them for long periods you can always look into contact lenses which can make it less obvious you're wearing them, just make sure you get fitted properly with an optician/optometrist so that you're wearing the right size, material and prescrption!
My glasses are tortoise shell with gold arms. They're Ralph Lauren - and they were free

Definitely get a sight test and let them know about the headaches. You might be using a prescription that's slightly under or over prescribed for your eyes, but only an optometrist will be able to say for sure

There could be various reasons for this. Dirty lenses, stratches on the lenses, or wrong prescription.
Take the necessary steps to figure it out. IE, clean your lenses if they're dirty. Check to see if there are any scratches.
You may need to go to your ophthalmologist to get a new script filled. Especially if it's been a while since your last exam.
As with anything else, it's so important to be responsible with your glasses. These are expensive objects that serve to make your life better. Don't abuse them and don't neglect them. You were given a prescription to wear them for a reason.

I wear mine for pretty much everything, excluding work.
Mine is just a simple design, frames made of single piece of plastic (minus the little arms or however the things resting behind your ears are called), black in colour. They were the smallest that were available, and I'd still want them a bit smaller ~~

My mother says that my vision deteriorated during high school. Maybe it's because of computer games .. I do not know. But I do not want to wear glasses while it is possible for me. I look stupid when I'm wearing glasses ..

Yes , I wear glasses and have been since the age of 2 years old. I have a squint so always used to use my right eye to see things so had to use an eye patch on my right eye 3 mornings a week when I was a toddler to make my left eye work. Then as I when I went to school I had to wear glasses to see things and to help my squint. In primary school I used to wear it but in secondary school I decided to not wear it as I didn't want to get bullied and as a consequence my eye sight got worse . Then when
I went to sixth form I decided to wear it regularly to get my eye sight better. My current glasses are purple frame and rectangular. I'm short sighted as well.

Lucy, was there anything that you didn't know was a thing before you got glasses? I never knew highway entry signs had these reflective dots going around them. I had a teacher that didn't know trees had branches because it all blobbed together.

Yes, I've been wearing glasses since the age of 10!
My current ones are purplish in colour. I switched to Crizal lens in 2013 and my power has stabilised since (although I was around 16 at that time when people usually stop growing anyway).
No need to feel disappointed about it, I think most people in our generation need to wear glasses at some point or the other, especially since we use gadgets too. I grew up in Singapore, where the education system is really intense right from a young age, so it has some of the highest rates of myopia in the world - 1 in 4 people (even children) wear glasses
Recently I've been considering getting a LASIK surgery though, because my mom says I need to ditch my glasses if I have to look a little better in order to get married hahaha. But my power is moderate-high and you need to be older than 21 to consider it, though it's a really safe surgery.
Remember to splash your eyes with water after 2 hours of reading/studying/using gadgets, try not to look at your phone in the dark when you're lying in bed or right after you've woke up. Also, this is an age-old remedy for improving eyesight we use in my culture - to eat almonds!

It seems to me that glasses are one of the most important attributes in order to look fashionable. I like the aviator model glasses. But each person needs to select glasses for the type and shape of the face.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 14 years old, I have changed many glasses since then, many were crushed by me). Recently, I have started to wear contact lenses more often, but I still wear glasses at home. I found myself a frame that I like, but still by the end of the day my ears start to hurt.
