Natural pain relief?
So my fibromyalgia has really been acting up. I currently take medicine for it. What I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on ways to relieve the pain? I know exercising is one of them my doctor told me, but I have a really hard time doing that. I don't like taking aleve or advil or anything like that unless I have to, and when I do it usually doesn't help any way. I have an appointment scheduled Wednesday and I plan on talking to my doctor then, but I was wondering if anyone here had their own tips as to how to get over the pain?

Re: Natural pain relief?
I have a membership pass to my local swimming pools and when my fibromyalgia flare ups are terribly uncomfortable and bad I do some exercises in the heated pools and sometimes I swim laps in the normal pool. Water aerobics is better than actual exercise.
Maybe you could do the same? |
Re: Natural pain relief?
Similarly to what Delwen said above, I'm wondering if perhaps using hot or cold compresses might help? Or even just having a hot bath. I don't have fibromyalgia, though I do sometimes have random aches and pains and taking a hot bath helps for me.
Hope the doctors appointment went well :) |
